If you worked for the Agency, what department would you work in? Would you be a field agent, or would you rather work for cryptology or scenarios and ciphers? Or something else? I've posed this question to a couple of people already, but I'm curious to see what other responses I'll get. I kind of like the idea of cryptology myself, but then I like word games.

I guess for me, it would probably be scenarios or something with computers. Of course, field agent would be great but I definitely don't have what it takes for that. Maybe I'd learn some more languages (I already speak German and English, I could brush up on my French, tackle Irish-Gaelic again and I'd finally go for Japanese) and make myself useful doing translations. With my thing for writing and making up things (stories), scenarios probably would be most likely. All those undercover field agents out there need background stories they can use, after all ...

Ooh good question I wouldn't want to be stuck behind a desk. I would rather be a field agent. I don't think I would want to do undercover work but I'd really enjoy the investigating side of being a field agent I'd want to be like Lee not Francine

Cryptography and imagery analysis (satellite imagery, etc), with some field investigative work thrown in. Yeah--I want the world.

Yeah, I'd be interested in scenarios, too, for the same reasons, Khell. I'm still fascinated by crypto, though. There's also nothing wrong with wanting a bit of everything, KC.

First choice: Analyst I'm definitely the behind the desk - paper not people kind of person when it comes to work and getting things done. Second choice: Mrs. Marsden's job Third choice: Blue Leader's chauffeur.

I couldn't handle field work too well, but helping behind the scenes would be a lot of fun. So, I would like to do something in research or ciphers, probably.(Then again, maybe it would be fun to work in steno. Typing those reports might be interesting reading.)

Mrs. Marston's (How is her name spelled? I've seen at least 3 different versions of it ) job could be fun. You get to sit there, watch who's coming and going, and be intimidating. I wonder if she's the one who gets to pick the passwords. Blue Leader's chauffeur would be fun, too. I wonder where Blue Leader goes when he's not just riding around. Do they stop for drive-thru every now and then? lol! The steno pool does get some interesting reading/typing, and apparently, Lee is a regular visitor (at least in the early seasons).

Am I the only one who wants to be a field agent then? Clearly I am reckless addicted to the thrill of being in the field

Oh, I would LOVE to be a field agent! But - let's be realistic. I'm no field agent material. Edit: On the other hand, judging from my scribe's adventures (she's my live-roleplay character and sometimes, I'm amazed she's still alive) I'd also qualify for "Amanda", as in the early seasons. The person who's not really a field agent and who's got a totally different job but who just keeps walking into ... stuff ... by accident. Cos that what keeps happening to my scribe at live-roleplays and since basically, she IS me ... *lol*

Oh, yes, I would like to be a field agent, but I am being realistic when I say - not agent material. While I could "stumble" into something and I am fairly good at thinking logically, I still say I would have better luck and more fun doing something else. (With Lee to teach and protect me, though, maybe I could do okay. LOL)

Cryptography and imagery analysis (satellite imagery, etc), with some field investigative work thrown in. Yeah--I want the world. Hah hah! No delusions of grandeur there KC! I am with you, I want it all! I'd prefer to do a little of everything since I excel at collecting bits and pieces of useless knowledge and suck at in-depth anything. A dilettante, that's what I am. I should have been born an heiress..... DO you think we could set up our own agency? Hmmmmm, what would we call it? The Swooners? Down The Rabbit Hole?

How does this sound? Name of Agency = The Warren (sounds almost creepy if you say it in the right tone, ex. "You have incurred the wrath of . . . The Warren!") Headquarters = Down the Rabbit Hole Leader = Lucky Bunny General Employees = Plot Bunnies Field Agents = Cwazy Wabbits Jestress = Dust Bunny Actually, right now, I'm just having fun thinking of all the possible rabbit-related code names. I have a new word game!
