I'd also like to suggest Forever Unstoppable by Hot Chelle Rae for the part that says: "Yeah we've both been touched by the same flame Don't worry, I got you, I won't let you burn. You and I got played by the same game We're in it together For better or worse." It made me think especially of Stemwinder, but also all the other times that Lee and Amanda have been in trouble together because they're both in the spy game. No matter what happens, they've got each other's backs, and in the end, they really are in it for better or worse.

Oooh, I like those lyrics Jestress! And I had not heard Imagine Dragons before Morley. I love finding new music! Okay, I am a Moody Blues fan and this has always been that song about realizing "You can Never Go Home" again but can move forward (WWHome reference ), "I lie awake for hours, I'm just waiting for the sun. When the journey we are making has begun, Don't deny the feeling that is stealing through your heart, Every happy ending needs to have a start. All my life I never really knew me till today, Now I know why, I'm just another step along the way, Weep no more for treasures you've been searching for in vain. 'Cos the truth is gently falling with the rain, High above the forest lie the pastures of the sun, Where the two that learned the secret are now one."

Oh, and another Moody Blues song, Question, has a middle part that Justin Hayward the lead singer just kills! Can you tell I am a Moody Blues fanatic? I have gone down that rabbit hole all the way to Middle Earth and beyond, eons ago and never emerged. Some music and lyrics only get better and more meaning full as you get older. Anyway, the lyrics:
It's not the way that you say it When you do those things to me. It's more the way that you mean it When you tell me what will be.
And when you stop and think about it You won't believe it's true That all the love you've been given Has all been meant for you.
I'm looking for someone to change my life. I'm looking for a miracle in my life. And if you could see what it's done to me To lose the the love I knew Could safely lead me to The land that I once knew. To learn as we grow old The secrets of our souls.

Keep You With Me by Hot Chelle Rae and Save Tonight by Eagle Eye Cherry make me think of those times when Lee has to go off on a mission without Amanda. Both of them are about men reluctantly saying goodbye to women when they have to go on a trip somewhere.
Beautiful Soul by Jesse McCartney makes me think of how Lee's old girlfriends were superficially pretty, but in the end, he decides that he wants Amanda because she's not only pretty but also a good person:
"I don't want another pretty face,
I don't just anyone to hold,
I don't want my love to go to waste,
I want you and your beautiful soul."

I am not a Katie Perry fan but this song screams Burn Out to me.

I just thought of another song, Taylor Swift's Begin Again. It's about someone who has been disappointed in love meeting someone new who is more her type. I think that could apply equally to both Lee and Amanda.

Good song Jestress! I was listening to Sara Bareilles' song Breathe Again as I was reading the scene in JWWM in MBF in which Amanda watches so forlornly as Lee leaves the bullpen. Somehow the melody and all fit for that moment:

Here's one I found by accident when I was looking for something else on Youtube. The lyrics don't have much to do with SMK, but I thought of Dean when I read the title: Blame It On the Weatherman.
Actually, when you think about it, Dean really is to blame for Lee and Amanda meeting each other. Blame it on the weatherman!
Here's a link to the song if you're curious:

" One More Try" by George Michael Excerpt: 'Cause teacher There are things that I don't want to learn And the last one I had Made me cry So I don't want to learn to Hold you, touch you Think that you're mine Because it ain't no joy For an uptown boy Whose teacher has told him goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
When you were just a stranger And I was at your feet I didn't feel the danger Now I feel the heat That look in your eyes Telling me no So you think that you love me Know that you need me I wrote the song, I know it's wrong Just let me go...
Hmmm... maybe reminiscent of conflicted Lee in Over The Limit (and beyond)... ...

That song would make an awesome SMK vid, Morley! If I was feeling brave enough to try it........... It would prolly be right up the alley of some other vidders I can think of though......

I heard a song this weekend that totally made me think of season 3 and 4 Lee
Its called "I'm Going to Be (500 miles)" by Sleeping at Last. (The name of the band may give poor Lee in OTL some hope, insomnia will come to an end soon...)

Nice one! And a nice cover version, too - and I usually don't like them. The original version's here: It was featured in "Benny & Joon" - good movie and, incidentally, about love, too.

Just in case you'd like to know, Morley, I have started a vid project file for "I Don't Dance." I am totally intimidated by the prospect, but I'll give it a whirl (pun intended).
