Hi Everyone! I thought a thread for sharing any smk articles or interviews we find could be fun.. and we can discuss them here too maybe? Make sure you credit the source of where you find things.. credit goes to the generous fans who have kindly shared their smk goodies with us all in cyberspace I'll get the ball rolling with this site: web.archive.org/web/20041204170123/www.hostvertex.com/~katejack/articles.html[big thanks to Larissaj over on yuku for finding this archived site!!! scarecrowandmrskingforum.yuku.com/sreply/30470/Magazine-Archives-for-articles-on-KJ-BB and thanks to Wanda's Kate Jackson site! ] It has many many articles.. Too many to go through all of them.. I've only read a few.. I thought maybe what we could do is - if you read one of the articles.. post the link here (to the specific article) and a little run down on what it says? I know one of them had detail on what happened with Kate's foot injury in early season 1.. but which one?? now I have no idea.. There is so much - you could literally spend hours searching.. so if you read one, it would be great if you could tell us about it! whooo and I'll have to find that smk mad magazine article and post a link to it here too- hilarious!! Any other sources of articles or links? or interviews or any other media.. This could be a great place to post a link to it.. I'm looking forward to discussing the little treasures we find!! byeee guys. Enjoy this little detour (paved with yellow bricks right Morley?? A yellow brick road?? ) Iwsod

Urgh sorry but Hart to Hart?!! It was rubbish. Wealthy couple and their stupid named dog go crime fighting with their sickly sweet romance in tow. How could he fail to be charmed by SMK? Give me rumpled Lee any day. Especially if it's me that rumpled him

Too funny Jenbo! hoo haaa! I don't mind Hart to Hart it has it's own charms - it is very cheesy but I love that they portrayed a married couple as fun, interesting and in love with each other - you don't see that very often.. I think writers don't know how to write that and make it interesting.. the chase is much easier to write.. maybe it's because there are less happy marriages in La La Land?? I don't know.. anyway I digress! I do agree that SMK and Hart to Hart - at least to start with - were very different in tone.. whatever that cynical writer thought! Well on the big archive I linked to in the first post I read the 'hour magazine - with Gary Collins 1985 transcript' this morning. Here's the direct link: web.archive.org/web/20041209120648/http://www.hostvertex.com/~katejack/hourmag.htmlWhoo there's a line from Kate about how she first read the smk script! I didn't know Kate was a huge Katharine Hepburn Fan!!! kind of makes all the turtlenecks with shirts style make sense no? And.. it means I wasn't going completely nuts when I saw Bringing up Baby and thought it screamed smk!!! I bet KJ was totally thinking of that movie and KH's performance! I must say.. I am tired of reading old stories talking about how difficult KJ was.. I think it's because she was a woman in a tough business and stood up for herself and wanted a say- but she had to shout a little louder to be heard because no one wanted her to talk. [ reminds me of the scene in OOADPigeon that's coming up where Lee and the doc are talking at the hospital about Amanda like she isn't there!] Whoooo she talks about this too!! Goooo KJ! Okay this is a really interesting interview! I recommend it.. they show the 'not this time buster' clip from Over the Limit and talk about how Amanda has changed, KJ 'likes her more' - gosh the way they talk about Leslie, it's like they originally planned for her to be more of a secret longer term girlfriend!!! wha??? Ohhh my... I'll have to bring this up when we get to this episode on JWWM. Tell me what you think if you get a chance to read this transcript. Okay must run! byee all!

I think people didn't like KJ because on Charlie's angels she refused to be a clothes horse just for the sake of it. A woman with ideas and opinions of her own. Considering how some stars choose to behave (Charlie Sheen for example) I'd say KJ was a breeze LOL

Charlie Sheen has turned into a real putz. I used to like him, now, not so much. I think his dad is the best actor in that family.

hiya Jenbo and BJo, glad you enjoyed the article.. errr well found it interesting! I like that it gives context to the time that KJ was working in around the time of SMK.. and it is also the context that women faced in the workforce of that time.. I found a very cool article myself.. Here it is.It's from People magazine, 1979...called 'Charlie's Fallen Angel' - ugh.. so over those Angel puns.. no angel rah rah.. give me a break! Anyway, the article talks a lot about why KJ left Charlie's Angels and all the politics surrounding the show.. Especially interesting are comments from the show about the different issues all the girls had. I feel so sad when I read these old articles where someone is raving about their spouse and full of hope - when it doesn't last so sad!!! it must be even more difficult to go through a divorce in the public eye.. (same with old BB articles.. oh boy..) Love the anecdote about how Kate refused to do a running braless shot.. the scary thing is - that sort of tripe is now back and more popular than ever ( Pamela Anderson anyone? ) the women's movement has gone backwards IMHO... Okay.. I'll refrain from stepping on my soap box any longer.. and just recommend to you that you check out this article.. it's quite long, but full of very interesting stuff! Okay, well my break's over here.. best get back to work. Byeeee!

BJo, I think it didn't work because not all of the web address is highlighted, try to type the whole thing in manually. When I did it that way I got the article.
