Hello!
I discovered Agentin mit Herz on German TV in 1986. Didn't watch it regurlarly in the beginning (at least as what I can remember when going through the episode list with the airing dates), but put it in my evening TV routine as often as I could and even recorded it later on, both on audio and VHS tapes. Sometimes, I watched it with my sister, but I never had it as something to talk about with my friends at school. Somehow, I liked to keep it private. The older I got I even started mentioning it in my diary. I became a huge fan of Kate Jackson, my focus was mostly on her and how great she handled life and love. Information about the series and the actors was very rare at that time, though, but I remember reading about that it was cancelled due to KJ's illness. In 1987, I discovered SMK on AFN and started to watch it even there. I got to see all those episodes that were never shown on German TV. And I saw it all without speaking a single word English back then (as I had to take French), but wow, did I love this show. I also started to write longer summaries of some of the episodes, as even without understanding the words, I could make some sense out of the TV play.
The series had a great impact on my life, as it somehow formed how I wanted love to develop and be. It is and will always be the TV show of my life.
I rediscovered the show this summer (2021). My audio tapes should still be somewhere in one of my living places and some VHS tapes should be flying around as well. But nowadays, I own the DVD collection and am fine and happy with it. Slowly, I'm introducing the show to my children, that's fun!
