I started posting comments in other threads and realized I sort of barged in without any introductions because I was kind of overexcited about finding you guys and I just couldn't shut up. Annnnddd <ramble mode off>!
What you need to know about me: watched SMK religiously every week from the first episode which took me through most of my university years and then some. My dad used to watch it with me oddly enough because my parents were posted to Washington at the Canadian Embassy at the time and we used to just kill ourselves laughing at the geography mistakes. I rediscovered it by accident on Amazon this summer, bought all four DVD sets and then just bingewatched until my eyes crossed. Then since this is the age of Google, I went to look up the show for questions that filtered into my brain, which led me straight to JWWM, which of course, led me straight here and then to the fan fiction and now I'm so far down the rabbit hole, well, you can imagine since you all appear to be down here with me.
Favourite episode: Burnout Favourite blooper: A tie between Always look a Gift Horse in the Mouth when the rearing horse at the end magically has no bridle or saddle on anymore and Flight to Freedom's ending where they sail off into the sunset on the East Coast. Classic.
Secret I haven't told my husband: told him I wanted to name our daughter Kate after the musical Kiss Me Kate which we both love. Actually named her after Kate Jackson.
Anyone else have a deep dark SMK secret? LOL.

Hi again Janeth . Good to hear more details about you. about naming your daughter Kate! When I first transcribed an SMK episode, I tried to pretend that I wasn't to my husband, and tried to pretend I hadn't watched an SMK episode several times, but I gave up and my family accepts me for my strange fascination with SMK. I looked at the videos in DVDS for about 3 years - first it was just season 1 and then it grew - before I finally took the plunge and bought first S1 and then the rest within less than 2 months. In the beginning, I was watching 5 (yes 5!) episodes in a row on some days as I raced through the first couple of seasons. Burnout is a great episode. Hmmm, I should really watch it again. But I am looking forward to the Triumvirate coming up in a couple of months time at JWWM....

I change favourie episodes on an almost daily basis but inevitably fall back on Burnout because BB just looks so damn good in closeup in the apology scene - that rumpled look, that five o'clock shadow, those eyes, that smile....swoon, thunk!

Hi Janeth,
Not sure if I got you welcome you on JWWM or not. I've sort of been off the grid for quite a while with making a major move and all that it entailed. But getting ready to start a new year with more time on my hands. I, too, watched SMK when it first aired and it was must see TV for me. I was in college at the time it started. It had a few other incarnations with reruns, but they did some creative editing of some things. So glad you've joined the walk and have made it to Ned's.
