KC, you're good at this! It's not easy to come up with witticisms to match a photo - I've tried and just can't do it justice. Keep up the good work!

I am thinking memes are much easier to create when you look at the photo in isolation.. and have forgotten the episode and what was being said.. if you put interesting or funny pics away in a folder and then revisit it from time to time.. then something will pop into your head eventually. What has been your experience KC? any tips on how to think of a meme?? I'd also say the more you do them, the easier they get. Practice.. and sometimes the inspiration is there - and sometimes it isn't.. so you just keep making them until you find your groove again.. I wind up having fun in the process anyway - even if I don't share it with anyone!

Maybe Amanda King needs an ID badge all of her own I have no idea what ep Lee says that line about Amanda's security clearance but I like it! oh and it's a real shame Amanda's ID (when she does eventually get one) doesn't say she's 'Amanda Stetson' boooo!!

Here's my method: as I'm Vehicle Patrolling or Tie Patrolling an episode (and occasionally when just watching an episode) I'll store some screenshots that call out to me... funny poses, funny looks, actions, whatever. They all go into a folder and I mull over them, leaving them stewing in the back of my demented brain. Eventually something pops out--sometimes funny, sometimes not (the really lame ones don't get posted--LOL). I also do a mix of episode/scene related, sort of episode/scene related or a hybrid of a couple of episodes/scenes, and unrelated (sometimes completely and utterly random, which seem to be Iwsod's favourites--LOL). I've also realised it's best not to forget too much what was said, in case you inadvertently make a meme that is actually the scene. For example, some of my episode/scene related memes: (We all know that Amanda really did effectively wave goodbye to her old life that day at the train station, Lee was appearing to pull everything but the kitchen sink out of the boot that day in the woods, and Billy and Lee kept going gaga over how great Sylvia was as a computer operator when all she did was sit and type a bit...) And some of my sort of episode/scene related memes: (Benson's codename in #1 was indeed Nightlight, #2 is a hybrid of the empty foyer in Playing Possum and the spring cleaning in Over The Limit, and #3 was what I think many of us thought... ... ) As for the utterly random ones--they come from the crazy recesses of my demented brain. My name really should have been Pinky... Narf!

KC, you're good at this! It's not easy to come up with witticisms to match a photo - I've tried and just can't do it justice. Keep up the good work! Thank you. What you haven't seen are the "rejects" that are sitting on my computer, not uploaded. Like iwsod said, I still had fun making them, but they're not up to par for sharing--at least not in my mind... However, the important thing was that I had fun. (The bonus is when I share them and can put a smile on someone else's face--it's awesome for me in a world that sometimes has too few smiles.) It really is just having the inspiration from the right screencap... and that sometimes requires seeing parts of episodes frame by frame, e.g., when I'm Tie or Vehicle Patrolling and trying to get just the right screencap. Maybe one way to get some screencaps is to look in the memes folders on Photobucket at the blank ones (or just ask and I can provide any of mine) or as Iwsod has said before, stroll through JWWM. You might be surprised that you fall over a screencap that just calls to you.

Oh, and yeah... sometimes my meme muse just seems to up and run away... but--so far--has returned after about a week. Maybe I'm just meme-ing myself out temporarily? Who knows...

This one comes with a warning... if you don't like rude hand signals, scroll past this meme. (I did ask permission to post in this PG arena... ) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

She's going for a home run, I can tell. Amanda always does. If something is worth doing...
