Loving reading all your thoughts here guys..
You know, I think I don't know Magnum well enough or Remington Steele to really honestly truly compare the characters fully.
Your comments on Remington Steele made that clear Jestress - I really only have vague memories of Remington Steele as a show...I watched a few season 1 episodes a year or two ago but that's it. and I don't even think I have seen the ending. I am hoping to watch RS once the walk is completed.. or if it returns to TV here in oz, but there don't seem to be reruns of either RS or Magnum! grrr..
I did own MacGyver season 1 for a while there - Debilyn you are not alone!! I loved that show and the concept. However for me (not saying it will be the same for you at all Debilyn!) I found watching it now as a grown up I as shocked to see all the sex MacGyver was getting in return for his skills It all went completely over my head as a child.. and I gotta say, it made me like the character a little less.. [but that's another story for another day!]
After watching season 1, lots of my friends were interested to watch it - curious to see how they would find it.. It ended up being a blast to watch MacGyver together - we would laugh our heads off and hammer the show, (loving the show for it!). for example - there is one episode where MacGyver fashions a horse whistle out of a piece of wood - and at just the right moment he blows this silent whistle and the horses go crazy.. well we had fun with that - hey everyone.. my necklace is a horse whistle!!! Listen!!!!! whahahaahaa.. everything in the room became a horse whistle.. Ahhh maybe you had to be there! But it was all so over the top adventure and just plain fun that I think it is a brilliant show to spoof and pay out on. Highly recommend it!!
[lol maybe this has shades of how the audience was treating buzz blade?! but.. we always loved MacGyver the whole time we were having fun with it).
Oh dear.. where did this trip down memory lane come from!
I've got things to do!! I'm hoping to get to the blog tonight and respond to everyone's fabulous comments- wow wow wow!!!
Byeee for now.. hope you are all well!
